A reminder to gun control activists and politicians regarding gun control in an emergency

So, we all know that gun grabbing politicians and their activist allies would love for the current situation (COVID-19) in the US to lead to gun confiscation due to “public safety” during a “national emergency“. Don’t worry though, it’s federal law that it can’t happen (legally). Further, if municipalities try, you can sue them. Pay attention to these “emergency declarations” popping up now and the wording in them. If any state/city ”declares” an emergency to allow LE to pull a Hurricane Katrina incident, they’re violating federal law and can be prosecuted In federal court. This law was put into effect due to what happened during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. And yes, below is worked into the Stafford Act (page 89).

During a declared emergency, if a state receives federal funds for said emergency, they must abide by this under federal law.
