COVID-19 societal impact getting people to consider becoming first time gun owners

Updated: May 20, 2020

Had this conversation with a buddy of mine (we’ll call him “Fred”). It appears some people who would have never thought about owning a gun are seeing what’s happening now (fights breaking out over toilet paper, for example) and taking notice on how “fragile society actually is” (his words from speaking on the phone). He’s right. Protecting yourself and loved ones should be a priority. I recommended a 9mm M&P 2.0 full size or compact over the Shield, as the Shield makes a great CCW gun, but due to a small magazine capacity is not ideal for protecting yourself in a home defense situation with multiple bad guys. Can never be too safe.

On the flip side, others just don’t seem to care about their own personal safety and want to continue to force their crap on us all. COVID-19 has caused Moms Demand Action to stop their meetings, but fear not! They’re working on their tyranny via video chat.
