Governor Pritzker is too easy to pick apart. More “gotcha” from Mom-At-Arms

Earlier this month, Mom-At-Arms published some research that brought back to light IL Governor Pritzker's "buying" of IL Supreme Court justices (and likely violating an campaign finance law he himself signed into law). It's a conflict of interest, as the judges he bankrolled will be hearing a case (gun ban) where he is the main defendant. Read all about that here:

That story was picked up (and we were given credit on air) caused the governor to be questioned, to which he dismissed it as a "right wing attack" 🙄. Video of that and more is in link above.

Now, let's look at the Wisonsin Supreme Court race right now:

MADISON - With a week before the election for the state Supreme Court, liberal candidate Janet Protasiewicz continues to eclipse her conservative opponent Dan Kelly in fundraising — this time with the help of three out-of-state billionaires who have each given $1 million to the state Democratic Party.
This year's state Supreme Court race is unlike many others, with control of the battleground state's highest court up for grabs and the issue of abortion front and center. The national implications of the race have drawn unprecedented donations from across the country.

Billionaire financier George Soros donated $1 million the state Democrats on Feb. 22, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker gave $1 million on March 14 and Tulsa philanthropists Stacy and Lynn Schusterman made four donations in March totaling $1 million. The Schustermans had previously donated $40,000 to the party.
Republicans were quick to criticize the Soros and Pritzker donations.
"George Soros and J.B. Pritzker's million-dollar contributions underscore that Protasiewicz will simply be a progressive rubber stamp," said Rachel Reisner, spokeswoman for the state Republican Party. "They’ll drop whatever cash needed to buy her a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat because her pro-criminal record aligns with their agenda."

Wisconsin, as an IL resident, I'm sorry that this guy is influencing your elections to turn the court his way, but here's some "ammo" for you. He is quite possibly the biggest hypocrite alive. In 2021, he signed a law in IL banning what he is doing.

Campaign contributions from out-of-staters and so-called dark money groups will be banned in Illinois judicial campaigns beginning in January under legislation Gov. JB Pritzker signed into law Monday.
Several states have enacted laws forcing disclosure of funders to nonprofits — including social welfare groups [501(c)4s], labor unions [501(c)5s] and industry trade groups [501(c)6s], 501(c)4s, 5s and 6’s — whose political spending is referred to as “dark money,” since those groups aren’t required to make their donors public.
But Illinois’ new law takes a different tact, banning judicial candidates from taking campaign contributions from any entity that doesn’t disclose its funders.

The provision barring judicial candidates from accepting political funds from certain nonprofits was tucked into the larger elections-focused measure Democrats passed through the General Assembly last month. The new law also includes the ability for voters to change their voter registration gender identification to non-binary after the 2022 election cycle and also establishes a task force to examine Illinois’ election laws to recommend accessibility improvement for voters with disabilities.
The law also bans out-of-state contributions to judicial candidates and clarifies already-illegal campaign contributions in Illinois, including money from anonymous sources.

There you have it. The Illinois governor is doing in Wisconsin what he banned in Illinois.
