Igor Volsky Propaganda FAIL

Updated: Feb 26, 2020

I kinda sorta, told y'all this would happen back in April of 2019 with my little breakdown on Crime... Guns... L...O...L. I mean, I literally explain propaganda styles that the Gun Control Lobby uses to sway the public into believing some hyped up version of chaos to pull on those heartstrings (vulnerabilities).

Fast forward a bit from that little ranting of mine and now, we have another Gun Control Lobby Trained minion, doing exactly what one would when they've realized they're losing the propaganda game: Go into offense by bluffing defense.

Meet Igor Volsky:

Igor Volsky is founder and the Director of Guns Down America. Igor has appeared on MSNBC, CNN, Fox Business, Fox News, and CNBC television, and he has been a guest on many radio shows. His work on gun violence prevention has appeared in USA Today, U.S. News and World Report and the Orlando Sentinel, among others. In 2011, Forbes named Igor one of their top “30 under 30” in Law & Policy. At Guns Down, he sets the overall strategy and leads our outreach efforts.

He's so fancy!

On February 24th, 2020, Igor Volsky, founder and director of Guns Down America decided to tweet out some disparaging remarks about Gun Makers. He implies... directly... that Gun Makers are using the media to sway women, children and minority communities to buy more firearms for self protection.

Igor Volsky, a young, gay, Jewish male just said all that.

(He's not pushing anything, is he?)

Not to mention, he has had many sweet years in the advertising and PR industry (like someone else we know- Shannon Watts: founder of Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense In America), working with Progressive establishments as well as Gun Control organizations- which have led him to start his own. Igor's background includes writing for ThinkProgress and a director for Center for American Progress.

Short Bio: Like the rest of his friends in the Gun Control Lobby, Igor's mission is to take down the NRA so they can't make guns no mo and give anymo money to them thar gun lovin politicians. (No idea why I went full Southern Virginia there for y'all... but it fits, so I'm leaving it.)

I could go on and on about this DUMB tweet of his... but, I've already responded in kind.

Instead, I'm going to rant about things IGOR thinks not many folks get.

In 2015, shortly after 14 people died in a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, Igor Volsky started calling out legislators for sending “thoughts and prayers” to the victims and their families. - per Lancaster Online

- December 2015 San Bernadino, California Shooting: Jihadi Terrorists, Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, entered into the conference center of Inland Regional Center, during a Christmas Party and opened fire. 21 injured, 14 killed. Farook and Malik were also killed during a shootout with police.

This is the tragedy that Igor Volsky has used to propel himself into the Gun Control limelight.

Per Wikipedia, but very important (I underlined and made bold some important points):

Internet activities

On December 16, 2015, FBI Director James Comey said, "We can see from our investigation that in late 2013, before there is a physical meeting of these two people [Farook and Malik] resulting in their engagement and then journey to the United States, they are communicating online, showing signs in that communication of their joint commitment to jihadism and to martyrdom. Those communications are direct, private messages."

Early reports had erroneously stated that Malik had openly expressed jihadist beliefs on social media, leading to calls for U.S. immigration officials to routinely review social media as part of background checks, which is not part of the current procedure. Comey subsequently clarified that the remarks were "direct private messages" that were not publicly accessible and that "So far, in this investigation, we have found no evidence of posting on social media."

Comey said that the FBI's investigation had revealed that Farook and Malik were "consuming poison on the Internet" and both had become radicalized "before they started courting or dating each other online" and "before the emergence of ISIL." As a result, Comey said that "untangling the motivations of which particular terrorist propaganda motivated in what way remains a challenge in these investigations, and our work is ongoing there."

Planning of the attack

In Senate Judiciary Committee testimony given on December 9, 2015, FBI Director James B. Comey said that the FBI investigation has shown that Farook and Malik were "homegrown violent extremists" who were "inspired by foreign terrorist organizations." Comey also said that Farook and Malik "were talking to each other about jihad and martyrdom," before their engagement and as early as the end of 2013. They reportedly spent at least a year preparing for the attack, including taking target practice and making plans to take care of their child and Farook's mother. Comey has said that although the investigation has shown that Farook and Malik were radicalized and possibly inspired by foreign terrorist organizations, there is no indication that the couple were directed by such a group or part of a broader cell or network.

The FBI has said that there were "telephonic connections" between the couple and other people of interest in FBI probes. Comey said that the case did not follow the typical pattern for mass shootings or terrorist attacks. A senior U.S. law enforcement official said that Farook contacted "persons of interest" who were possibly tied to terrorism, although these contacts were not "substantial." A senior federal official said that Farook had some contact with people from the Nusra Front, the official al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria, and Shabaab of Somalia, but specifics were unclear.

Igor Volsky forgets much of this in his tactics to disarm Americans.

And that's the absolute TRUTH.

Volsky just doesn't want gun rights limited. He wants guns gone completely.

The long term goal ... is to have a country where there are simply fewer guns. - per Lancastor Online

But technically, there were fewer guns during the San Bernadino, CA shooting... weren't there, Igor?

Considering, THE VICTIMS WERE UNARMED AGAINST TERRORISTS, you kind of got your wish, didn't you?

Since the Inland Regional Center in San Bernadino, CA is a GUN FREE ZONE, there were no other weapons on the premises. The only folks who had firearms were the terrorists... and the cops who showed up way later.

So, what exactly are you advertising for, Igor?

With the financial and morale problems at ThinkProgress, it's understandable that you ventured off to do your own thing... BUT... with the release of former NRA Mouthpiece, Dana Loesch's new book that is soaring to the top of Best Seller lists already (like her others), are you doing like Bloomberg's Mouthpiece, Shannon Watts and pushing a new narrative since the original one for Gun Control Lobbying groups is failing miserably? I mean since yours and Watts' books are struggling to keep up in the world of activism against gun ownership, are you trying a new PR move?

OR!!

Are you just using a different method to capitalize off of victimhood to line your pockets?

WE ARE NOT VICTIMS!
