Parkland (MSD shooting) father minimizes Trump getting shot and mocks him

The Everytown Survivor Network welcomes anyone who has personally experienced gun violence—whether you have witnessed an act of gun violence, been threatened or wounded with a gun, or had someone you know and cared for wounded or killed. This can include but is not limited to gun homicides, gun suicides, domestic violence involving a gun and unintentional shootings.

On August 13, 2024, Donald Trump was shot by a would-be assassin. How close did he come to dying? This image is a perfect indication of how close he came to dying:

One could say it was luck that he turned his head at the right moment. Others say it was an “act of god”. Or on the left, some people think it was staged (those people obviously know nothing about ballistics and shooting). The reality is, Trump was shot. He survived an assassination attempt. He is, per Everytown, a “victim of gun violence”. Did this attempt on his life change the way he views guns or the weapon (AR-15) that was used? No. He implies with his immediate response that he blamed the shooter, not the gun.

Recently, Trump said he thinks “god saved him”. And it’s a valid point. Something made him turn his head at that moment and due to that sudden movement, he is alive. Because of Trump’s statement, the anti-gun Democrats are mocking him, one of which is a prominent figure in the gun control world: Fred Guttenberg:

Fred’s daughter was tragically killed during the Parkland shooting in 2018. Fred was also one of those selected by CNN afterwards to be a bulldog for gun control at the CNN town hall following the shooting (the media loves grabbing emotional people who have experienced tragedy to assist in their goals):

Fred is also a senior advisor to the gun control group the Brady Campaign:

Fred Guttenberg is a senior advisor to Brady, focusing on survivor engagement and political strategy. Fred has dedicated his life to ending gun violence in memory of his daughter, Jaime Guttenberg, who was shot and killed alongside 16 others in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, on February 14, 2018.
Fred honors Jaime’s life with action by fighting to hold elected officials and the gun industry accountable for the gun violence epidemic and is a loud voice for common-sense gun reform. Whether he is on Capitol Hill, the White House, or in his local community Fred brings Brady’s unique approach to the forefront of discussion.
He has testified before Congress and has been featured on Good Morning America, ABC News, NBC News, MSNBC, and CNN among other national and local media outlets. He is also the author of two books, including “American Carnage: Shattering the Myths That Fuel Gun Violence.” Fred lives in Florida with his wife and son.

Knowing all of this, wouldn’t you think that mocking someone getting shot and who was almost killed be counter-productive to your goals as a gun control proponent? It hasn’t even been a month, and he’s “milking it”? Yet here we are years later and frauds like David Hogg who were never even in danger are the heroes of gun control advocates? I think this just goes to prove that some “survivors of gun violence” are greater than others, and the ones on the gun control side seem to imply that they wouldn’t mind those on the other end getting killed and/or shot to advance their cause. It’s disgusting, and shows their true character, which is either emotionally damaged beyond repair or just plain disgusting. To add to this disgust, do we need to remind them that people were shot and killed during the attempt on Trump?

When the gunfire started on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, Corey Comperatore threw his body over his wife and children. He died from a bullet to his head. He died to protect his wife and daughters. Why? Because he was the husband. Because he was the father. Because he was a man.

"Milking it" is Guttenberg's job.
