You all remember that lawsuit, right?
Chicago, IL — On March 19, 2024, the City of Chicago, represented by the Chicago Law Department, Everytown Law, and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, filed a first-of-its-kind lawsuit against Glock, Inc. The lawsuit alleges that Glock unreasonably endangers Chicagoans by manufacturing semiautomatic pistols in such a way that they can be easily converted into illegal machine guns in a matter of minutes with a cheap quarter-sized device called an “auto sear.” Despite knowing for decades that the design of its semiautomatic pistols allows for their easy conversion into illegal machine guns, Glock has chosen not to fix the problem in order to maximize sales and profit, with tragic consequences for Chicagoans.
Well, things just got interesting. Larry Keane from the NSSF is reporting that Everytown and Chicago have dropped the lawsuit.
Very interesting. It would appear the Biden Admin is trying to hide some likely illegal coordination with Everytown/other parties in this lawsuit. I mean, it looks like they’re trying to moot this:
With the dismissal of the lawsuit just days after Rep Comer nudging the Biden admin again for documents, it is pretty much a sure thing that there’s funny business going on without a doubt. Everytown is no stranger for doing sneaky and vile things, such as exploiting the 10/27/2018 Pittsburgh synagogue shooting for their own poltical goals of getting rid of preemption in PA. Just days after that, they began coordinating/talking to the mayor at the time, Bill Peduto. Notice the word “opportunities” as well. After a mass shooting of Jewish people worshiping, Everytown uses words like that. Disgusting.
If Comer gets those documents, it’ll no doubt be a goldmine……..
